Hi, I am Tatiana and Welcome to Tamada’s Table!
Tamada’s Table is your home for everything about Georgian Cuisine. Come back often to stay informed, follow us on social media and sign-up for my blog. I live and work in New York City but was born and raised in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia. If there’s one thing we all like, it's food. From an early age, I learned the value of healthy, natural ingredients and how to combine them to make delicious Georgian dishes and meals. As a pro-active food advocate, I believe that food should be both delicious and healthy, which is a perfect description of Georgian cuisine. The newest ethnic food phenomenon is the cuisine of the Republic of Georgia. In New York City alone, several new restaurants have opened in the past two years, while the New York Times, Washington Post, The Gothamist, blogs and vlogs on YouTube have covered the rising popularity of Georgian cuisine. |
I should say I was very inspired by Julia Child and other cookbook authors, who introduced the foods of the world to the global English language community. To honor and share the cuisine of my original homeland, I wrote Tamada’s Table: The Classical Cuisine of the Republic of Georgia. It presents many traditional recipes of Georgia that can easily be prepared by a novice cook.
